Everyone, please bring both a wihte top and a red top in any event.
Whites: Wee Teck, John J, Arthur, David T, Wayne H, Nick C, Ee Hwa
Reds: Ruy, Fai, Andrew Ng, Roy Thian, Vincent Yeo, Shawn K, Stanley C
I was in the Serangoon Road area at that time and it started to pour. Couple of queries about whether the game would go on, but it stopped raining by 7 pm. Was still overcast but even that started to clear up by 8 pm.
I popped by Khalsa at about 8.45 pm. ....
A rather sloppy start by Whites but two great saves from Wee Teck and a clearance off the line by Nick C kept the score 0-0. Whites were coming more into the game when I left.
Yes, last week was Andrew's heroic saves. This week is Wee Teck's turn! Crazy! I have no idea there are so many great GKs in GIFFA.
Reds need to brush up on their punctuality as this is the second time they have player who are late! Gosh!
Red started well, as the Whites took time to get to know each other's style. It seems that the longer they play, the more their confidence grew. The whites took a 1-nil lead before the Reds came back to lead by 2-1.
Whites replied back quickly to take a 3-2 lead with Nic C. controlling the centre. At this point of time, reds were pressing high up to get back possesion. This left big gaps at the back as Reds were looking to score on the counter with John J's as their attacking outlet.
The game ended with a 5-3 scoreline to the Whites!
Good game, mates!
* Looking fwd to next week!*
