Three times Whites took the lead, three times Reds (without one of their better players) levelled, to make the score 3-3. Murali had the recurrence of a hamstring strain after about 20 minutes, so I came in for him.
Gradually, Whites pulled ahead to lead 6-3 after about 40 minutes. Without Jamil, the balance of the teams was clearly affected. I then suggested that Murali play in goal for Reds to give them an exta man and to redress the balance.
Initially, Whites continued to have more of the game and chances, but could not finish. Reds started looking dangerous on the counter, and pulled two back to within one goal - 5-6. With the extra man, Reds were beginning to stretch Whites.
Reds then missed a series of great chances, before Whites grabbed the last goal to win 7-5.
The absence of Jamil affected the balance, and the competitive edge, but a good game played in good spirits nevertheless.
I think the game was fairly balance.. Yesterday despite reds losing, i think we enjoyed the game bundled with couple of jokes during gameplay.. I dont think Jamil absence affected the team.. Reds were guilty of missing several sitters and generally had a good spell.. Whites were catching us on the counter and put away their chances well.. At times the defending of reds were suspect but were escaped being punished by whites.. A fun game i would say but i think there were some disagreement on the white side.. Hope all is well and cheers..
