Whites: Justin, Srini, Murray, Glenn F, John Sng, Alex F Reds: Kenny Aw, Jeff S, Melvin L, Chen Hong, Mark T, Ben Y
A few changes were facilitated to accomodate Ben Y and Alex F coming late.
Murray first switched to the whites to even up the numbers. Srini and Ben swapped to even up the teams.
When we started with 5-a-side, we played to the lines and that clearly affected the game play. Obviously not used to having to stop the ball when we reached the sides, there were quite a few comical moments.
When we got back up to 6-a-side, we went back to playing off the fence. Again, readapting posed a problem; players could be seen pondering if they were to continue with handling the ball or give it to the opponents after the hit the cushions.
Good game, plenty of laughs. We got to full steam at about 25 minutes past 10.
Moment of the match was when Chen Hong schooled Murray. Murray was in goal and Chen Hong executed an impossible lob from deep in his own half... *and the crowd burst into a standing ovation*
I forgot the score because we kept a scores for all 3 variations to the staffing, ie. 5v5, 5v6 and 6v6...
It was one of the most enjoyable games I played ! Just when one thot there is Srini that can play both goalie & striker at the same time we found Mark has the same talent !! Yes Mark you did well despite your foray upfield & I concede that after trying to score again I thot the best way is to score an own goal !!
Another highlight was Justin giving away Jeff's ball to a total stranger ... so kind !!
