While waiting for LL to give the full result: On the red's side, we drew with blacks. Scoring 1st but the lead was cut short by Ganesh's shot from their half. Blacks scored again and we were on the verge of losing but a last second shot by Fred saved us. Next was against white, Although we were leading from the start there were some nervy moments when it was just a goal different but in the end we pulled through a 4-2 win. Last match a was do or die against blue if we were to win the tournament. It looked all set when we lead 3-0 but midway we were losing steam and got hit with 2 goals. Reds managed to score a fourth but that did not deter blue and 2 more goals came soon to level at 4-4. Blue took the lead when 1 unlucky deflection caught me by suprise and a poor passing by the keeper(me) was easily intercepted by Raminder and had no problem putting it in. Reds scored 1 back and was then more determined to force a draw. There were a few close moments at both end but in the end blue clung to a 6-5 win. Overall reds did pretty good, good game guys.
Replying from an sms by LL or someone earlier today, yes the score was a 2-2 draw against black and 4-2 win against white.
Crazy Sunday arrived again n several players were late with Barun not even showing up.....causing some distress to the WHITES.
BLUES kicked off lazily against WHITES, n to my horrors, i let a harmless shot bouncing off the Xbar, dribble off my tummy into goal, registering BooBoo #1 for the afternoon , and also put me in contention for the Fre-ch national team,,,,,1 down, this galvanised my teammates to start playing n we won 6 1.
Against REDS, the lethargy crept in again, and against a Ganesh-led onslaught, we lost 2-3, and BooBoo # 2 was allowing Ganesh to put 1 in from his own half as Edmund cleverly ducked to fool me...
Game 3 started v v badly as BLUES found themselves 3 down before REDS allowed us in; eventually we fought our way back n nicked it 6 5 with end-2-end action throughout.
For this weekend, BLUES walked out Winners as the other 3 teams all won, drew and lost 1 each....
Err..LL it appears that the lethargy is still there! ;D

I think you meant Black team?
As for Reds account, Azmi has said it all. This is 2nd time around in consecutive Sunday matches that when you think all is WELL...in the lead and in control (we were up 3-0 in final game vs Blues!!) then the whole world collapses on you inexplicably!
But thats soccer for you. On postmortem, I think Red collapsed halfway through the last match against Blues due to a combination of factors...Tiring..but thats not the real reason, it was the last match and both teams were tiring fast....
Some cheap goals (not that they were not good! nice one Raj ....shots from halfway line (which I let in... :'(MY BAD) and defensive mistakes created some easy goals for Blues.
But the big difference was that Blues got second wind BECAUSE of those goals!! It shows that a large part of the game is MENTAL. Once they saw that they cld equalise, they started becoming alot more mobile and energised!! Raminder (again!) got good shots in the end capitalising on on a mis-pass from goal and a freak rebound off a shot by me in midfield which went into the goal.
On Red's team, I think all the players played a good game! Azmi had a nice goal against Blues (I think), Fred! OUTSTANDING running and opportunistic never say die efforts! Stephen steadfast defending and supporting in attack and Philip (sorry to keep calling you Meng Hong cos thats on the back of your jersey with his cool twists and turns creating the gaps in the opponents defence.
Respect to all the teams, we had tough matches for all of the them even the one against Whites where we won 4-2 (where we played 4 on 4). Against Blacks, another one of those goals scored from way back in opponents own half ARRGHHH! Very close game.
Really gotta start training to get fit for these mini-tournaments...
