After the game, please post reports and comments on the game below.
The game started off very evenly as reds and whites traded goals and were tied at 3-3.
Kelvin Au smacked home the 4th for the reds which was disputed as Delon unintentionally handled the ball to him. That was perhaps the turning point.
The whites went on to take the 7-3 lead. Reds pulled back a couple of goals; whites, determined to win, finished the game victorious. Final score 11-6.
Some stand out players for the winning team: Derian, who is not half the player he used to be - in part due to injuries, old age and a bigger belly, showed glimpses of his former self, scoring a few well taken goals (at least 4, according to him after the game). Daniel controlled the midfield, defended soundly, and had four goals. Kelvin Ho was a rock in defence, reliable and limited the opposition to few chances. He was aided by Gow, once again, producing a solid defensive display (scored 1 goal too).
The scoreline didn't really reflect the tightness of the game. Reds made the whites work very hard for their victory.
In the end, I think the whites won because they were more incisive in attack and were more clinical in their finishing.
