It was a pleasure to watch the game. My scoresheet went a bit different though: 1:0 reds, whites then took control in a very strong spell from min 15-25. But they just weren't able to put it in the back of the net until Tim took down Paul in the box. Looked like a penalty indeed n Elvin hammered it under the crossbar to equalize the game. Reds woke up again but it was whites that continued to press Liverpool style with the likes of CH, Paul, Albert, and Andrew. To no avail as they were denied numerous times by good keeping from Reds. Reds on the other hand were lethal upfront with their MoM (sry Ced) Moritz who was involved in every goal from Reds. So the score went to 3:1 in favour of reds with 15 min remaining. What looked like a done n dusted game was nt dusted yet. The never say die spirit of the gritty whites saw them come back to 3:3 just before full time. The extra time then belonged to Reds talisman Raj who finished off whites with his goal to 4:3. The extra-extra time I missed as I had to limp back to the mrt.
Great game to watch in good spirit. I wish I could join you guys again but as some of you know my recovery has had problems, and i have to accept my early retirement. Stay healthy and enjoy the games!
It was great to see you Rainer!!! You will be remembered as one of the Hall of Famers in the GIFFA league!?!?! Wishing you a speedy and smooth recovery from your injury in 2017... never say never... you just might make another storming comeback to the game again in the near future!!!
