Perhaps it was nerves playing with us the first time, or the pace with which Whites started the game, but Jianbao gave away the ball in front of goal twice in the first 10 minutes. Boris generously returned the ball to me the first time, but scored the second. Whites extended their lead to 2-0 and 3-1. It was powerful start by Whites, who hit the frame of the goal a couple of times as well.
Reds did well to pull back to 3-3, and for a while, the game was fairly even, but then Whites turned up the power again, and pulled away to 8-3. They also hit the frame of the goal a couple more times.
Rajseran switched with Jianbao, and Reds started creating more chances, putting away four. Even then, Whites managed to hit the post one more time. Final score: Whites 8 Reds 7.
Overall, Whites were stronger and faster and deserved their win, hitting the frame of the goal 5 times in all in addition to their 8 goals.
