i would have to agree with Rajiv's pre-match analysis. tonight's red defense was lacking, losing track of the whites players and were pretty much kept in the red's half as they were finding it hard to make passes to move forward. Whites were pressing high up the field today leaving very little space and kept up the pressure. whites went into the lead 3-0 after a pressuring start about 10 mins into the game. reds managed to hold their ground in the next 10 mins..keeping the scoreline with a few pot shots at goal..commendable 'cantona' shot by dave managed to rattle the crossbar. a few more goals by whites made the scoreline a bit lop-sided and reds were beginning to feel dis-heartened as they were finding it hard to find space to pass the ball around with the high pressure line by whites. however a pass reached one of the reds strikers and with a quick pace down the centre right, turned the white's last man and unleashed a outside right foot volley which nestled into the back of the whites goal. Reds were beginning to get back into the game with more passing and movement. another powerful shot by tristan just outside the whites box boomed into the whites goal. however, whites managed to assemble back in formation and completed the game with a final score line of i think 8-2? cant recall exactly but seemed easier to remember the goals red scored. basically, reds werent having much of a defense tonight which allowed whites to ship in a good number of goals. but it always ends with good laughs and more determination to play a better game..so till next week peeps!have a good weekend!

Line ups: I assume David T has put 7 names down to play as a team? Looking at the other 7, I don't have a problem with that, except that the other 7 don't have much of a defence. Even less of a defence than on Sunday, when 4 of the 7 played on the same team. Although it has been reported that Tristan played well in defence yesterday. If we stick with the above, it will be: Whites: Sean L, David T, Kelvin H, Derian, Wilson, Daniel T2, Chern Yang Reds: Arthur, Philip S, Wayne, Tristan, Julius, David M, Dave H but Reds will need to sort out before the game who plays in defence. Alternatively, a couple of swaps before the game starts. Everyone, please bring both a white top and a red top in any event. If anyone can't make it, please let me know early, as Steve F is currently available. .... $2 credit please haha .... Well, at least I know you read other parts of the message board .... ... and lemme know if the money has been received by urself just in case it hasnt been wired. thanks. ... sometimes - acknowledgements of payment here. As for the game itself, I also noticed that after two successive defeats with weakened teams, you put together your "A" team (other than perhaps Mark (who is injured?), and Jessen). With Steve F available, perhaps I should have suggested Reds play with 8 players, as I did last week (although with withdrawals, it ended up as 7-a-side). Generally speaking, if one team gets to select its strongest available team, then the other team should as well, which brings us to challenge matches.
