For a challenge match, I would prefer if a registered players puts down or puts together a team of 8. One (if not both) of the two teams should comprise mainly of registered players.
If you're putting your name down as an individual, please do so under the regular 5 to 6 pm game, and indicate if you'd like to play from 4 to 5 pm, and if you'd like to play both games.
If you can only play 4 to 5 pm, it would be better if you took the initiative to put together a team of 8. If you put your name down as an individual for the challenge match, there is a risk that you may be forced out by a team of 8. Of course, even then, you can remain in reserve, in case either team finds itself short of players.
If the 4 to 5 pm game goes ahead, anyone playing in the 4 to 5 pm game can only be in reserve for the 5 to 6 pm game.
One of the purposes of an extra hour is after all is to give more players the opportunity to play.
For challenge matches, I'll only deal with the two persons putting together the two teams. Other than that the player putting together the team must be a registered regular, no distinction will be made between registered players and guests. The team co-ordinators decide on their teams, and collect payment from them. I'll just collect payment for each team from the team co-ordinators.
It can also be a challenge match within our pool of players. The real difference from our regular games is that someone puts a team together, rather than merely dividing the available players into two teams, trying to be balanced at the same time (even if we increasingly have two of the players selecting their teams).
For a challenge match at Turf City from 4 to 5 pm on Sunday, it will be $80 per team.
If I have to get involved in putting a team together and collecting payment from individual players (effectively a team co-ordinator as well), I will collect $11 per player, the same as for a regular game at Turf City on Sunday.
If the team co-ordinator has to take time to SMS to put together and organize a team, I have no qualms if he too collects $11 from the rest of his team and retains the difference of $8 for his efforts.
If you have a team of 8, name them below. At least one of the two teams must be mainly registered players.
