Whites: Tim T, Damian, Wayne, Ken, Tan Wee, Reza, Edmund, Rajiv Reds: Look Liew, Kum Kong, Vincent Y, Lionel 3, Sivaraj, Azmi, Kenny, Simon 3
Everyone, please bring both a white top and a red top in any event.
Reza came in red, so he swapped with Azmi.
Wayne was late, so Reds were restricted to scoring from within the penalty spot.
Reds took the lead, before I scored an unlikely equalizer. Wayne arrived and I went in goal, where I conceded two soft goals. Both times, a Reds player was through on goal - first one was so mishit it deceived me, the second one I should have come out to clear before it was slipped past me.
From then on, Whites improved, moving the ball around well. A Wayne hattrick saw Whites lead 4-3. Whites were dominating at this stage, but a couple of breaks by Reds saw them regain the lead at 5-4.
After going ahead 4-3, Whites didn't finish off their chances. Some good saves by Reds' keepers (Kenny, then Kum Kong) and some robust defending by Reds, and some over-elaboration in the build up and wayward shots by Whites, meant Whites did not score any more.
Final score: Reds 5 Whites 4
Good game overall. Disappointing to lose after coming back to lead 4-3..
