let me collect the $ 2 mio - whites took the lead 1:0 after about 15 minutes and that was the result until about 40 min into the game. despite reds felt a bit lackluster it was an even game until then. whites, regardless of missing many chances kept trying harder and eventually took a 3:0 lead. reds did nt respond any more and whites kept trying very hard and got rewarded with another 3 (?) goals to settle the final score at 6:0 (?).
obviously, the scoreline is clearer as the game actually was. but i missed the fire in the red team whereas whites were persistent till the end.
Whites: Arijit, Rainer, Azmi, Joel C, Nick C, Tan Wee, Wayne H, Wee Teck Reds: Sivaraj, Damian, Dave H, Elvin, Rajseran, Reza. Kin, Dan B
I might be in the vicinity so I might pop by.
I was there about 5 minutes before the end of the game. Dave was seated outside the pitch with a sprained ankle. He said he came out when it happened halfway through the game. So Reds were playing with a man short, and I presume Whites were restricted to scoring within the D.
* If one team is a player short due ... injury or illness, we try to find a replacement at the venue itself. If a replacement cannot be found, we continue with one team a player short. The team with the extra player is restricted in its scoring, either to within an imaginary one-third line from the opposing goal (at The Cage and the big pitch at Sports Planet) or within the D around the opposing goal (at the Premier Pitch and the small pitch at Sports Planet). If the team that is a player short is losing badly in the second half of the game, a player from the side with the extra player should switch to the team with a player short. The scoring restriction is also switched.
