Hi Jiv, I might be short in my account so here's the report for the $2.. Fairly wet and slippery conditions but weather held up. Reds had a quick start and jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first 10 mins. Whites then started to come back with Jamil and Yaseen starting the attacks to lead 4-3. It was then a very close game at 4-4, 5-4 whites, 5-5 and finally Reds manage to squeeze home with the final score of 7-5. Ruy gets my vote for Red best player for his tireless defence and then creating space in attack. For Whites, Jamil is one hell of a tricky player who caused Reds lots of headache at the back. Another great workout...till the next game.
Sivaraj and me being out of the game meant that Reds had one fewer attacker while Reds had one fewer defender, which changed the balance of the game somewhat. Towards the end, Reds looked very dangerous on the counter-attack, grabbing a couple of goals and going close on a few more occasions.
I think you played well to lynz.. I remember seeing you fly... And there were few comical goals from both sides yesterday.. Balls that should have been saved easily but somehow went in.. It was evident you guys had a better last 15 mins and each time whites went past the reds half, all the reds were defending in their own half which made it difficult for us.. We were also guilty of some wasted finishing. It was a good workout... I think it would have been different if Rajiv and sivaraj have played.. It balances the team more..
