Whites: Foo Cheong, Rainer, Arijit, Ade, Lynz, Vincent YKL, Imran, Uday Reds: Rajseran, Jye, Raminder, Fred, Dave H, Jason T, Reza, Elvin
The lineup was shuffled a bit and it just proved to make the game more exciting. The whites took an early lead and played a tight defense. The reds had a strong midfield and strong runners at the wing but the whites played with 3 constant defenders to keep them at bay. Within 15 mins, whites scored again but this proved to only make the Reds adamant to score and score they did... with two great goals in quick succession to bring the game at 2 -2. About 35 mins into play, Fred made a quick run past Ade, and with just the goalie to beat, took what looked like a tap from Lynz, the goalie at that time. 50-50 tackle but any outsider would deem it a penalty. Ade ended up with a sprain from that play and it was nice of him to stay on as the goalie to keep the game going. And it was very very sporty for the Red not to pursue for the penalty. The whites kept their pace and the final score was a 4-2 win for the whites. Cheers folks.
I must add that it is good to have Raj, Imran and Lynz back.
The Indian Bull was "steaming" right off from the start, busy shouting and getting positions out for the Reds.
However as the game went along, it seems that he is hesitant to move upwards.... Perhaps he knows that Arijit is aiming for his
Towards the end of the game, with the reds down 4-2, I think he decided he will give it his all, Body and and have it out with Arijit! ;D (To his credit, Raj did play well throughout the game organising the defense)
Overall a close and fun game, the reds could have pursued the Penalty and we might have been able to tie it up 3-3.
PS: FC was asking why I have so many weddings to attend? Ans: End of year alot of such "Pink Tax Bombs" and I am of the age where most of my peers are getting married....

Jason, I was wondering if you are a caterer or pastor.
Thankfully there was a doctor in the house and Vincent attended to Ade's sprain and decided that it was a case of play-acting, as good as any South American. Ade, that will be another $12 deducted for doctor's fees. Ade wins the Luiz Suarez award.
Seriously, the turning points in the game, as is often the case, happened whenever players rotated. Whites were tiring and under the cosh when Ade's injury happened. That was also a turning point. That minute of rest allowed Whites to catch their breath and re-group.
Whites did not concede after that and went on to score two (?) goals, one of which was a beautiful downward header by Lynz straight from Vincent's corner.
A very controversial win for the whites. Besides the penalty call which, as Imran said, would have been a 50/50 decision for any ref, there was another incident which saw Arijit deliberately put a stop to a clear goal opportunity for the reds with a handball.
To be fair to the whites, notwithstanding their cynical style, Lynz and Ade also made a couple of crucial saves in goalie, and Arijit and Ade worked hard in defense to keep the reds at bay. All in all one of the best games I've played in recent weeks, fast-paced and tactically challenging.
Raminder called for a re-match, so if we get the same pool of players next saturday the lineups are set in stone!
don't think the win was controversial. 50/50 decision for a penalty sounds about right to me. what seems to be forgotten though is an interesting fact: in my 100+ giffa games i have seen a few penalties but i have yet to encounter a penalty that gets converted.
additionally, reds were only trailing the scoreline, whites had a stronger defense and more stamina with the rest (chances, ball possession, ect.) very equally distributed. i do think the game was very tight but i tend to think whites take 2 out of 3 games with this line-up.
Whites were Disciplined and played as a team . Defends means defends . Both Goals from the Whites were basically unmarked . As mentioned before, you know your stamina better therefore choose a position in favor so that it will benefit both yourself and the team.
It was a good game yesterday but if we do play with the same team , then some adjustment has to be made for sure on the positioning .
But i have to give 10 points to Ade for all the marvelous saves and -10 for not giving us the penalty .LOL
Hurt me with the Truth but Never Comfort me with a Lie
Take note that I am still probably 70 percent recovering from my injury but need to play as I am having rashes on my feet for not playing for sometime . Just to bring this up to help on the suggested line up . At most I can play keeper all the way
