When anyone registers on the message board, they have to provide an e-mail address. If I do not recognize the e-mail address, I will send them a standard e-mail. Their account will not be approved until they reply to the e-mail and arrange to play their first game (either through me or their introducer). In the meantime, they remain on [the Guest List]. If after several months, they still have not played their first game, the account will be deleted.
I'll only approve the registration of players who are 21 and above. Players between the ages of 18 and 21 can be put down for a game as guests by registered players. Players under 18 can only be fillers, that is, to fill up any places left when the line ups are due.
You'll both be 21 next year, so if you play by then, and fit in, I'll approve your registration then. I'll send you both an e-mail soon.
As for your first game, I'll invite you for games that are short of players.
Our game last night at The Cage was full. I hope you got another game.
I know you can't start a thread on this board, but you can reply here.
Sorry, it's just one place now William. If both of you want to play, you can take turns, just to try out the game. If anyone pulls out, then you can both play. I've sent both of you an e-mail, to get your mobile numbers, and providing you with mine.
Both William and Ryan played last night. I spoke to them, and they're looking for games in general, so I've moved the thread to the "New Players" sub-board, and renamed the thread "Looking to play".
William had a very good debut, but I'm not sure Ryan meets our minimum standard. To be fair, it was a wet pitch, and he was playing in flat soled shoes, so that might have been a factor, so I'll let him try a couple more games, but it will have to be as reserve and in games I am playing.
