Whites: Reza, Dilesh, Philip S, Murray, Shrapnel "Dave" Blacks: Grant, Paul G, Srini, Audoin, Song Chuan
Audoin, Dilesh and Shrapnel returned to the Cage after varying lenghts of time away. All three turned in solid performances as if they had never left.
Blacks were first off the mark but Whites made their intentions clear with Dilesh scoring a quick hat trick to make it 3-1 - moving up from welterweight to middleweight seems to have sharpened Mr Shah's appetite for goals. As legs began to tire, it was end to end stuff with both teams seemingly adding to the scoresheet at will. Whites somehow managed to hold on to their slender lead and finished strongly edging it 13-10 (?).
Man of the match: Shrapnel "Dave" for his tight basketball style marking.
Yeah very tight game, seeing the line-ups I thought it should be a hard run game the only unknown being Song Chaun, when I saw how good he was I thought we would really be up against it. But Dilesh was on fire in front of goal and kept us in it scoring almost every opportunity that came his way - top stuff.
Some great goals at the other end from Audion and an audacious volley from a corner that would have been goal of the year had it not narrowly gone wide.
