We started off with initial 7 vs 6 as Some got caught in Traffic . Andrew , CH and Michael were all late .
Whites managed to get one outsider to make it 7 vs 7 . It was still 0-0 until Lung broke the Deadlock for Reds . Lynz was the busiest person has he had to change at least 3 times to Red and then back to Whites until we managed to get the full 8 players and stick to the original line up.
Raj made it 2-0 for the reds from a thunder Cross by LL and Raj headed it . ( It was a painful one though) .
Whites came back with their play with counter attacks and made it 2-2 .
Finally Titus made it 3-2 for reds with a brilliant goal.
Final score Reds 3 - 2 Whites . Game ended at 6.20 pm .
There were some few chances and would have been the goal of the game but both Kenny and Raj efforts were saved by the Cross bar .
Overall a good game.

Just a reminder to share the goalkeeping duties. Whites had only 3 goalkeepers: me, Lynz, Damian. Over 75 minutes (we played 15 extra minutes), this is an average of 25 minutes per goalkeeper. Lynz was considerate enough to replace me. But after that I had to call for a keeper change otherwise Lynz would be stuck in goal. Damian had earlier told me that he could not play goalie because he had a wrist injury. Nevertheless Damian sportingly replaced Lynz. Towards the end, I went back into goal because it looked like no one was going to replace Damain. It was the same situation last week (Sat, 10 Mar). Reds had only 3 goalkeepers over 75 minutes: me, Lynz, CH Lim. Again, Lynz replaced me in goal. Reds re-organised and I went back into goal again. Again I had to call for a keeper change because no one was forthcoming. CH Lim stepped forth. Again, towards the end, I replaced CH because it looked like no one else would. Not expecting all to play goalie, but I think the duties can be shared by at least 4 players, making an average of 15 minutes each. Even the best player in the world takes his turn to play goalie. Vincent pulled out and Danny took his place. I was switch to White. Lynz was Red, White, Red and finally White.
Whites borrowed a player from the earlier game, Quek, for about 15 minutes.
When Andrew B arrived, he was wearing red so he went to Reds.
Final line-ups: Whites : Lynz, Raminder, Dave H, Martijn, Kenny, Michael, Damian, Foo Cheong Reds : LL, Danny, CH Lim, Lung, Cheng Poh, Titus, Raj, Andrew B

Good thing we played an extra 20 mins as with all the swaps in the first 20 mins due to missing/late players, it got pretty confusing. Anyways, pretty even match nonetheless with Lynz actually making the difference in changing the balance whenever he swapped...good thing he swapped a few times Reds were a little more cohesive as a team but Whites countered that with good ball possession especially with the likes of Raminder and Martijn controlling mid-field. The neat short 1-2's in mid caused some problems for Reds with Dave H on left and Kenny on right flanks constantly a thorn in their sides. Unfortunately, when we were tied at 2-2, a defensive lapse allowed Titus to latch on and he stormed towards goal with abandon, I am sure that if I dived at his feet I would have blocked the shot but judging the velocity at which he was coming in at, I thought it best not to that Already got a wrist injury from goalkeeping and shot stopping and didnt want to risk another one...sorry guys. As for goal-keeping duties, I agree with Foo Cheong, everyone ought to volunteer at least to rotate. I felt bad for Foo Cheong after seeing him spend near to 30 mins in goal but couldn't replace cos of my wrist. As a last resort, the goalies usually have to single out a player and call out to him for a swap which is not very nice....volunteering is still best

The same happened to me on the Saturday game when I was playing keeper for nearly 25 min and had to call out for a keeper change - wasn't a nice thing to do. It was Jye and me taking turns as keeper before that. Think we ought to have players rotate playing keeper after 15 min max unless the player insist on continuing as keeper. Maybe we have to draw lots on who are the 4 keepers before the game (after taking into account those who volunteered). Just a thought.

。。。on goalies...we were all dying to keep n had to drag Titus out our end....we were shack, testimonies to age n recovering players....
Yes, the sides were disorganized in the beginning due to the heavy rains.......most played w heavy hearts as we worried for our homes : "Did we fill enuff sandbags? "..... After all ponding had set into our turf city car park w brown murky waters covering half the car park....
Was a really tight game n adrenaline pulsating.......must say Andrew, Danny n CH gave their best whilst Raj did OT big time in his One man attack show during the first 45 min......fr REDs
Martyn, Raminder n Lynz were always gonna be dangerous fr WHITEs n even cheeky Kenny took a fantastic long range shot frm Sarawak which rocked the Xbar...........
Gd game lads !

To be fair to those who were late that day, the heavy rain was very sudden and I believe some trees were uprooted at Bukit timah rd as well. Mike was stuck on his bicycle and CH was stuck on Bkt Timah for a long while because of the above. Generally, i think the players on the weekends have been timely. Damian, no worries on not stopping Titus's goal... anyone would think twice once Titus come charging.. .. I would! I think it was decent of you to play in goal that day... forgot about your wrist injury from last week, sorry.. Foo Cheong and Damian have probably spent a lot of time in goal for most of the weekend games. I think the outfield players should consider going in goal even for 5-10mins when they feel tired ... good to have a breather so that all can contribute as a team to the game and everyone gets a fair run outfield.

Guess it also depends on the line up and situation of the game. If you are comfortably winning , then is ok to change 3-4 or even 8 keepers but when you are in the losing end , you cant afford to have someone who might do better in other position to play keeper while the one that is destined to play keeper to play other positions .
Therefore i think it all depends on the situation . But one thing i do agree that individual who think he cant last long or running out of breath should volunteerly play keeper .
