.... Dad' s army w 2 nephews now has an average age of 44...........n invites a challenge ! In Dad's corner : LL, Vince, CP, dad Titus, Anthony, Pete, CH n baby Ray........ .... Subject to withdrawals and replacements, or changes in preference, I'm thinking the rest of those who prefer 5 to 6 pm .... .... [/b] ....[/quote] .... So Babs, like Boris, will have to switch to reserve for the 5 to 6 pm game: .... With CH out, Ray's friend Lian Soon came in for him. As for Ray's other friend Lester 3: Dave H is out. Checked with Look Liew whether Lester 3 comes in, and if so, who of his 9 should switch to Team 2. He agreed to Babs coming in ahead of Lester 3. .... Babs has given up his spot in Game 2 (5 to 6 pm) for David T. David T has prepaid. Revised line ups for 5 to 6 pm: Whites: Look Liew (c), Vincent YKL, Cheng Poh, Titus, Anthony, Peter Hu, Ray Lim, Lian Soon Reds: Wing Kong, Michael H, Kenny, Lynz (c), Derrick, David M, Azmi, David T .... I should be there sometime between 4.45 pm and 5.15 pm. .... The second game followed immediately after the first game. Reds took an early lead. Whites equalised somewhat unexpectedly. Reds had regained their lead before I left about 5.15 pm. Add any comments about the game below.

Turned out to be a tight game and ended w REDs winning 6-5....converting a penalty in the dying minutes to win the game.
The Old folks' in WHITE benifitted from some young blood in Ray, Lian Soon and Lester but evidently, the latter 2 ( first game with us) was getting used to our robust style.
The scoreline was tight throughout with both sides exchanging a 1 goal lead.
REDs' Mike was a perennial threat with hisability to drift and lose his marker and more importantly fooled the WHITEs' keeper twice w dummies resulting in easy goals; he did tuck away a very neat corber shot amidst heavy marking.
For WHITES', Ray did well up front n helped himself to 2 goals. WHITEs couldnt keep their composure and in another REDs' raid, managed to fumble in an own goal to tie it 5 - 5.
It didnt end on a happy note as Lynz turned the ball neatly in an attack and Titus came in to block, resulting in a nasty collision with the unexpected body twist..( regards to Lynz, sorry Buddy)...........Dave smashed the ball in from the penalty after....
It ended 6 - 5 w REDs claiming victory.
