Whites: Chern Yang, Sean L, Derian, David T, Alvin Chew, Eam, Steve F Reds: Jeff S, Wayne Ho, Kelvin Han, John Sng, Murray, Casey, Aaron
It was a night of Thursday Khalsa regulars vs a mix of Khalsa and east coast regulars.
Reds took a quick 2 nil lead with some nice long range shooting which totally caught whites off guard. This spurred reds to come back 2-2 with some slick passing from whites and the equalizer for whites came from a goal kick which Derian happened to block the goalie line of sight and crept in to the bottom corner. Whites had a short lead with Derian slotting the ball into the bottom right corner with a quick turn and shoot but reds replied almost immediately and went up to 4-3.
The scored stayed 4-3 for a long time until the first half hour mark which reds went 5-3 up. It was 5-3 from then till end of the game. Whites had many clear shots which either hit the post or were magnificently saved by the custodian in goal. It was such a frustrating night for whites that Chern yang was literally shouting his lungs out at every single of his teammate. Even his BFF David T was not spared from his wrath.

kudos to my team mates yesterday as they maintained their positional discipline throughout the match and made enough minor adjustments to get others to go on offensive or defensive without losing the shape of the team.
carl, aaron, murray (despite his jetlag) and john digging it out especially the last 10 to 15 mins and wayne providing an outlet to relieve the defensive pressure. Last but not least, Kelvin who added a goal but most importantly, kept out 2 big attempts from the whites near the end.
Taking nothing away from the reds, the whites didn't exactly cover themselves in glory last night. We were bereft of ideas upfront and lackadaisical in defence. No one's infallible but the effort and desire shown last night was difficult to accept. Reds were definitely more fired up for the game than we were.
