Rai shared that it was too skewed before the game and as it turns out the reds are the young and mighty and the whites are the old birds.
The game started with the whites with a few fresh faces struggled early on and towards the end of the game. Reds did well to score 2 quick goals and thereafter, the whites started to play competitively and had a few exchanges, and managed to keep the reds at bay.
After the first 30 minutes, the fitness of the whites was telling as time and again, possession was surrendered to the reds and they controlled the game with slink passing, "barca" style. The whites were simply out-run, out-passed by the reds.
The game ended with the reds scoring the final goal from a mistake and overall, the whites were given a good footballing lesson with the reds winning by a clear double digit goal margin.
It could be better if there is a more balanced line-up, and we could have a more competitive game. Still a good work out and looking forward to next week.

Nothing to do with the jerseys most of us worn yesterday ?
Phillip - brave front when I first saw the line up. Anyhow, I felt your team should have try to keep the back tight and leave a couple of quick players up front to hit on the counter attacks. Secondly, I see most of whites were marking "spaces" and not the players near to them, giving most of Reds forward a chance to run at you, it didn't help if the legs were already tired to track.
Anyhow, good outing - we all shall improve by the game.
I would single out Niel for his commendable effort and thoroughly deserved his top corner goal - albiet a couple of miscontrolled first touch, he totally made up with his play - full of energy and heart approach to the game.

To be fair to Mark, Phillip has most of his friends on the other line up ( i think about 5 of them). So that might be the reason why.

Dave K was outstanding for me ... easily putting most of the younger players (inc me) to shame with his positioning, distribution and workrate .. And he does this so consistently!! I wish i could still play like him when i am older.

Jeff, I've moved your comment from the Discussion board to this thread, as it relates specifically to this game. "Wily" should be seen as a compliment, not a criticism.

Nothing be wily about. I am just grouping players by clicks. Anyway, never had the intention to gain any advantage upfront. It is just a game. We don't win anything end of it and everyone had their fair share of losing. My bad if anyone felt it my poor lineups.

Was it Norman or Andre who almost got the goal of the season with excellent control from an overhead pass to shoot first time and hit the crossbar !!!!
Phiilip pls get your guys to play more often then the fitness will naturally come !!
