Insufficient votes for 2 team selectors, especially since one of the voters is not playing.  Gerard thought it might end up as Derian and friends plus one against the rest, but since David T and the players he has introduced total 8, they'll need to be split up anyway. I suggest moving David T and the latest of those players introduced, Louis, to the other team, which leaves them 1 player short. Gerard, you ok with being the player to fill that spot? It leave us with: .... The player with a vote, or the most votes, on each team can be captain. The captains can agree to changes. The captains can agree on colours, otherwise, I'll confirm colours by 5 pm. Wilson proposed a swap on the WhatsApp group chat. I'm not sure if it has been agreed on. Anyway, Team 1 is white and Team 2 is red, but everyone, please bring both colours in any event. This one was a rare occasion of David T and friends +1 vs the rest. Been a while since we had the group of jokers playing together due to daddy issues and injury.
The game started out brightly with sides showing intent of outdoing the other. It was a very open game with both sides creating numerous chances. Whites took the lead with some clinical finishes from Derian and got off the block with a 3-1 lead. Reds started to get the understanding amongst the team members and leveled the scoreline to 3 apiece. This spurred whites on 5-3, derian being particularly involved in most of whites goals. The lack of match fitness and game, especially from kelvin h and Chern yang was apparent with some really appalling defence from them. Stan the man was instrumental in orchestrating a fight back and score was tied at 6-6 soon after. Kelvin H, who was playing in center of midfield for whites was literally parked right in the middle of the park and was just like a huge balloon blocking all kinds of movement both from opposing and own team.
Reds took advantage of the 'huge' problem that whites were having and John was especially impressive with some neat finishes. Louis, who was new to the pitch and team, managed to get himself into gear and was providing endless energy on the right flanks for reds. Reds managed to take the lead for the first time in the game, with 7-6 and 8-6 to reds soon after. With some luck, their lead co uld have been much more. Nevertheless, whites had their top scorer, derian to thank with a double hat trick and the game finished 8 apiece.
An enjoyable game overall and honors even at the end which was probably was a fair result.

Maybe Derian should be penalized or barred from writing the match reports due to excessive self-praise.  |
