I was actually 3 minutes late for the match (had a stomach upset at about 845pm) but when I joined, the match was pretty evenly balanced. However, Reds soon got into their stride to lead 2-0 before extending this to 4-0. Whites rallied to pull it back to 4-3 with 3 goals on the trot before Reds regained the initiative to lead 6-3.
With 15 minutes to go, there was an unintentional collision between Kodaka and me in the Whites' penalty area when we both went for the same ball and I took a hefty knock on my right thigh, which effectively ended my involvement in the match as I was unable to run after that and had to play goalkeeper. Still Reds were dominant and ran out 8-4 winners. To be fair, while Whites had plenty of running in them, they perhaps had too many similar "midfield enforcer-type" players and would have done better if they had a natural finisher on their side.
