Currently insufficient votes for team selectors, and I'm heading out at 5.25 pm, so I've locked the poll, and I'll suggest line ups.
I assume Derian and friends want to be on the same team. If it's left to team selectors, there's no guarantee, so that is something they should bear in mind in future. Anyway, if I keep Derian and friends together for today, which means 2 of the other 9 will have to join them. Last week, it was Sven and Gow who join Derian and friends. This week, how about:
Nick and Jon have one vote each, so they can be captains.
Whites: Steven Lim, Gerard, Nick C (c), Dan W, Sven, Gow, Adam Back Reds: Derian, Chern Yang, Daniel T2, Mark Li, Sean Luo, Jon Soh (c), Philip S
By popular demand, your weekly giffa writer is back again and news are coming hot from the oven.
As we sit here still debating on what went wrong and who is the best player, I shall try to do a short recollection of a pretty crazy 60 min of Futsal.
The game started off at a frenetic pace with reds racing to a 2-1 lead with derian responsible for both of the goals, on of which involved a cool turn a finish to the bottom corner, leaving the keeper with no chance.
Reds were quick to come back even after being 3-1 down to 3-2. Some really laxed defending from both sides and the game went to 5-3 with Daniel putting an acute angled header past the goalie. Daniel started turning on the heat with more goals coming off his knees and both his feet.
Nick, the fighter showed his presence up front for whites, leaving chern yang looking like an amateur defender before putting the ball into the back of the net.
It was a see-saw game white reds opening up the lead and whites playing a game of catch up, which they did quite well for most part of the game. Derian had a goal of the game with a first touch volley from a high looping ball which caught everyone by surprise for having such exquisite touches.
In the end, some careless defence and own goals put the game in reds favor with the game ending 12-11.
