Despite reds drawing first blood, the whites got back and took lead which remained marginal till the end. The game was fast paced end to end stuff, with some brilliant football on display and a few quirky own goals and defensive mix ups.
Robbie was one of the most if not the most influential player on the pitch, with great ball control and commanding throughout the match. The reds had Dom and Chris causing real problems for the whites.
A newcomer myself, along with Lawrence, we thoroughly enjoyed the game. I was happy to open my account with a few long range shots. The highlight of the match would be a beautifully flicked goal by Imran from Robbie's pass, and a wonderful volley (By Lawrence or Melvin, apologies for not remembering) scored from near the half-way line from the Reds.
The end got tense as whites raced to a substantial five goal lead with five minutes to go, and the reds bringing it down to three within a while. However, the improbable comeback was not on the cards as the game ended 16-13.
Great workout, great pitch and facilities, great group of players, fantastic game night.
