Insufficient votes for team selectors, so I suggest:
Derian with 2 votes can be captain of Team 2. Kelvin with 1 vote can be captain of Team 1. In any event, they are the two players with the most number of games in the current 6 month period (Derian with 23 and Kelvin with 22).
Reds: Steven Lim, Gow, Ting Wei, Tim T, Kodaka, Kelvin Au (c), John J Whites: Wilson, Derian (c), Kelvin Ho, Sean Luo, George L, Stephen Tan, Sven
Another night, another post.
The game started out at 6 v 7 with whites a man down due to Wilson's late arrival from China. Apparently his flight got delayed or something.
With a 1 man advantage, reds took advantage of the possession in midfield and attack and started bombarding whites goals with an array of shots. Whites were under tremendous pressure and was defending in their half for most of the time. It took some giant effort in defence, especially from Kelvin to keep the reds out.
But the pressure soon turned into goals with Kelvin largely involved in most of the moves and eventually the goals that took reds to a deserved 2-0 lead.
Wilson finally managed to get his ass onto the pitch.
With all men square, whites finally managed to break out from their own half and started playing some football.
Kelvin, the giant in defence, took his effort one step further with 2 goals from outside the box to bring the scoreline back to level terms. Some quick goals in succession from Sean and Derian then made the scoreline 5-2 to whites.
Reds were determined not to be outdone with Kodaka, quick as ever, pulling the scoreline back to 5-5. Whites again, got fired up and scored another 3 goals in succession to 8-5. John, from reds, arguably had the goal of the game with a pot shot from his own half that arrowed right into the top left corner which left the keeper with no chance.
Another laborious effort saw this see saw game get from 8-5 to 8-8 and it was game on with 5 mins left to play. Final winning goal came from Derian, picking up a cross field ball from sven and slotting the ball between the keeper's legs for 9-8. And that was how the game finished.
