This was Bab's bday and last game for awhile before he attempts to be Manny Pacquiao for the next 3 months. Reds started with a high tempo attack of Brendan, Jake and Rainer and hit the lead 1-0. Whites then countered with good passing ending with a ferocious volley by Dilesh to equalise. It stayed 1-1 for a while until the last 15 mins when Whites started to string good passing moves with Nick and Richard pulling the strings. Whites then jumped into a 4-1 lead as Reds started to falter including a set of blasters from Dilesh and Richard. Babs capped his last game with a good header for a final 4-2 score. Great all round running from Whites: special mention for Nick and Richard who were fantastic in midfield and Timmy again had another great game in defense. For the Reds, Babs as always rallying his players even when they were behind with Brendan and Rainer, always dangerous on the attack.
Thanks for the beers, Babs and come back in one piece...
whites were very consistent throughout the whole game whereas reds had some ups n downs. think Bernard and xiong wei had a good game with some decent passes from xiong wei to myself. unfortunately, i missed a few and at some point got so frustrated with myself that i wanted to kick the goalpost. sry uday...was nt meant to push u! ha.
Cheers Lynzy & thanks to all for the best wishes b'day and the boxing. Hopefully I will see amny of you supporting at the actual fight night itself (29th November)!
Ont he game itself, well played to Whites. A tight game deadlocked at 1-0 to reds and then 1-1 for a while but a good 10 minute spell towards the end resulting in 3 lovely goals gave whites the deserved win, before Reds rallied late on again.
Have fun lads over the next few months, will miss the games, banter and Beer! Stay safe all.
