Been awhile since I write a report or play with the team. The team looked pretty even on paper and it is reflected accurately at the final score (6-6).
Reds started with one man short for about 10 mins but managed to contain the rampaging whites and not let them use the numerical advantage to open up a big lead. The whites pretty much led by an odd goal and at one point the whites opened a 2 goal lead due to the lack of communication at the back or over enthusiastic attacking play by the reds; resulted in quick counter attacks and goals.
Whites tried to go by the flanks with rai orchestrating from the back and kelvin working the center and releasing the flanks. Worked pretty well most of the time but the reds wing backs learned fast and started to cover those areas pretty well.
Reds had a good spell and turned the 2 goals deficit at 5-3 to a 6-5 lead with two quick goals from Ray who was on form in front of the goal and one more from Neil I think. Whites scored the final goal to make it 6-6 and we were asked to end the game for the next set of players to take to the field.
Good to be back, huffing and puffing the night through and probably 3 games away to better match fitness for me.
