Guess what, the ref joined in my team again this week; how can we lose. Once again, the rock hard ball made for interesting play, it took some time for a couple of us to adjust to its sluggish reactions. I though the game was very even, with both teams adopting different styles. Reds played to the feet with short passes and close control, but this week Reds were closed down too often and the Whites' goalies were in form. Whites went for quick counter attacks and defense splitting passes, however Reds defense was up to the task to neutralize the wave of attacks. There were plenty of goals. The pace was just right (for me), so was the passion. I was very glad that after a few vigorous tackles and strong body checks, opponents shook hands and played on, all in good spirits! Well done guys! For the score, I think towards the end, it was even and Reds took the last goal.

Sorry folks if my jersey colour is of "non-standard"; just wish to maximise my chance of wearing jersey on the pitch.
I overheard about some players giving me some leeway in defending me. I would like to express gratitude on this for my past knee operation. But at the same time, i would also like to send a message that as long as it is clean tackle, i am perfectly fine with it.
I don't wish to spoil the "game challange" beacuse of me alone.

whites didn't have natural strikers in their line up. When I first look at the line up, my reaction was "if reds can defend and not concede easy goals, they should win." True enough, whites had to work very hard to score their goals and worked hard they did. kudos to the new comers to the ECP games as they grew into the game as it went on.
I also see a lot of challenges at the side walls rather than at the middle of the park - not sure why but that was my observation yesterday. Hope to see more "steel" in the middle in the future. Till next week.
Nice workout and game by everyone! I think Reds scored the last goal and we ended all even.
Shawn, Kenny and TK were all outstanding for their respective team and Ardy had a good debut despite being up against 2 of our good defenders (Jeff and Gilbert). Effort level was high again and we played well pass the 75 mins mark and you can see most of us drained to our max. Seems like my "walkout" a few weeks back actually helped!! LOL
Yup Jeff, agree that whites does not have a natural striker. Hence full credit to TK for playing the 'false no 9' so well for whites. It was a high intensity game n i can see both teams sticking to their role pretty well.
The game was a draw (i think it was 9-9 or 10-10). So boon, white doesn't always lose!
