If I limit team selectors to Sunday regulars who played on Wednesday (so they that they know Eddie), we have Gerard and Martijn. To allow for any withdrawals and replacements, don't confirm the line ups before 1 pm tomorrow.
Several replacements that left us with less regular players playing. Also:
It was a very close game today. It stayed 0-0 for a long time with Whites having perhaps a little more of the ball in the beginning. Gerard had a few good chances, but could not convert yet. Then after 20 or 30 minutes, Whites went up front 2-0. Kien had a great header from a corner and Gerard finished in the top corner in a one-one situation following a passing combination from Anthony to me to Gerard. Still Reds played well and created several chances. Elvin had several one-on-ones but the goal keeping from Danny and Cheng Poh was outstanding. Damian also had several great reflexes. Elvin then scored with a typical move from a corner, protecting the ball and shooting quickly on the turn. Brendan lobbed in a perfect ball which Raminder volleyed in to make it 2-2. I got lucky with a far shot from a corner and, I guess with everyone getting tired, the game opened up. Anthony made one of his strong runs and played a nice one-two with Gerard which allowed him to tap it in from close range. Tan Wee and perhaps Elvin had another few one-on-ones but goalkeeping was really at a high level today. Anthony then followed with a very powerful shot which literally knocked over Damian as keeper and Gerard the poacher was the first to the ball and put it into the empty net. We went on until 10 past 6 when Reds made the last goal. Overall, it was a high quality game where Whites passed it around nicely in the back with Eddie playing a key, composed role.
