The Ref could not make it so Eric was activated at about 8.45pm. He quickly hopped onto a cab, laced up his boots en route, and in his haste misplaced his white jersey. To our amazement, Eric arrived shortly after we started with 7v6. His inclusion gave Whites an attacking edge and breadth on the wings. With Jamie on the other side and Sufian in the middle, the trio pressed the Red defense and punished them for some slack defending. Fortunately, Whites did not feature a no. 9 which limited Sufian distribution options. At the other end, Reds attacked using the wings which opened up space for James and Glenn to put a few past the goalie. Chances were plenty but Reds were wasteful and lacked that final touch. The game came to an abrupt end after Mel and Glenn collided, giving Glenn a nasty cut under his eye. The scored should be 6-4 to the Reds.

Surprisingly low scoring game from both teams but no lack of action. More often than not, its the most basic of things like simple passing, first touch and where/when to run that matters most .. not the outlandish plays/moves/goals we see on TV or youtube and trying to emulate them on the pitch.
Glenn F had a great game last night, probably the best I've seen him play ... direct, purposeful, tough and getting the job done!! Keep it that way Glenn!!
Glenn looks battle ready man for next week man. Was really touched by Melvin kind gesture to "repair" Glenn and since Jeff has been nagging me like a mum after every game. Finally get my fustal shoes (since got pimples - just in case you need to make a statement with a tackle...hehe). It was a good workout and slowly getting into the flow of things.
