With the turnover or personnel, we end up with one team largely from Shell, and the other, mainly Tom and his colleagues. The four odd ones out are Joel, Jeremiah, Hail and Rohan. Joel and Jeremiah are together, so I'll put them together on the Shell team to make up the numbers there (and they were on Steven's team last week anyway). That leaves Rohan and Hail, so I'll just assign one to each team:
Steven and Tom can remain as captains, and decide on colours.
Reds (thru Ray) scored the first goal of the night with comfortable passing and team play. The game upped a gear when Reds scored the second and went as far as 5-0 ahead. Complacency set in and Whites got their game together, breaking the duck through a powerful grounder.
Whites built on their momentum and had a good time scoring the next few goals, bringing it to 5-4. This is where the game got a lot more competitive. Jeremiah made his presence felt at the centre of the pitch with his good tackling, passing and vision and didnt seem to stop running (does he have lungs?). Ray and Frankie played great as wingers, creating many opportunities. Hail was commanding as defender and made overlapping runs. Joel had good runs as he read the game really well. Ivan surprised everyone with his acrobatic saves when he was at goal, denying Whites when we thought its not possible to save the shots.
Reds subsequently got their formation and momentum back and the score widened in favour of the reds. Final score 8-4 to the reds. Ray was top scorer for Reds - with about 4 goals.
