I suggest Reza and Ian as team selectors. They meet all the criteria:
* Most number of games since January 2009 (112 for Reza, 91 for Ian). * Reza is introducing 2 new players for this game (plus Steffen in December 2011). * Apart from Kodaka (who plays as much at Khalsa and The Grandstand), the most number of games in the current 6 month period (16 for Ian, 9 for Reza). Sivaraj also has 9 games, but Reza would in any event get in ahead of him on the other criteria. Kodaka also has 16 games.
Whites: Ian, Kodaka, Soon Leong, Sivaraj, Chris M Reds: Reza, Steffen, Kevin S, Chris S2, Paul G
Looking at how the teams lined up, both Reza and I thought before the match that there would be goals in this one and we weren't mistaken. There were 24 goals in an end-to-end match, with lots of attacking intent.
Reds took the initiative early with a 3-0 lead that extended to 4-1 before Whites found their rhythm and struck back to level at 6-6. Whites then went ahead 7-6 and a purple patch in the second half of the match saw them widening the gap to 12-7 at one stage. With 10 minutes to go, Reds hit 3 in a row to ensure a tense finish but the remaining goals went to Whites who walked out 14-10 winners.
