From this month onwards, the team has training on Sundays for the Bench & Bar Games at the start of May, so no women's games scheduled for Sundays at Turf City until then.
....
It might be a good time to try to start an allcomers' game. As before, I'm looking at 6 to 7 pm on Saturdays on a small pitch at Turf City.
I'll start after the second leg of the planned team match, proposed for 19 February 2012. That means starting on Saturday, 25 February 2012. It is also before the Premier Pitch @ Turf City put up the price for a small pitch to $98 per hour, with effect from March 2012.
I would have preferred to bring the regular men's game on Saturdays forward to 4 to 5 pm, and have the allcomers game from 5 to 6 pm, but I checked today, and there is still no pitch available at Turf City from 4 to 5 pm.
All-comers games are open to everyone.
I do need to SMS to fill up the places, but with everything else going on, I doubt I'll get round to it. I'm putting up the schedule thread in any event.
Anyway, this is a narrow window to try to start. If it doesn't go ahead this Saturday, I won't try again before the second half of March 2012.
