Swapping Joel with Ben was a genius move; made the sides pretty even. The pitch was damp but the air was clear, no rain. A few new comers were with us and they took some time to warm up to the game. For most of the first 10 minutes, it was slow and careful until I broke the deadlock with a great run and slotted the ball to the left side of the net. Whites woke up and began to dominate play. Kelvin, Rai and Glenn with Joel danced circles around the Red defence with speed and agility and racked up the score with good skill and teamwork. However, on a few occasions they were unlucky or was denied by the woodwork. Reds on the other hand were content to sit back and absorb the pressure and launched counter attacks. Jeff, Bryan, Eric and Ben contained droves of attacks valiantly, the keepers were pretty steady. Reds opted to send James to deal with the White defence on his own. And he delivered! Red fed James the ball and he kept Reds in the game. Faizal and Roy were new but they contributed much to this high octane game. Last goal was called and I obliged by smashing one in to end the game with a draw, perhaps 7-7 or 8-8. Great game guys!

Good game to start Year 2014 @ ECP! A Draw was probably the fair result on a very competitive yet enjoyable night .. including the post-match tok cock session. A good footy year ahead to everyone and less of
