On a clear and not too warm night, the two teams matched up on a familiar ground. The Whites started out with a clear intent on going forward and they drew first blood as a ball eluded the entire Red defence for Ray to score. But any thought of a landslide victory by the Whites at that point were parlayed as though that goal woke up the Reds which were still in the process of organizing themselves it seems. Reds soon quickly scored two in succession before Whites re-equalized at 2-2.
Another case of you score, i score and at 3-3, that was when the Reds started to pull away. Good team movement and clinical finishing and Reds scored several without reply. White having the better of the passing movement (I was chasing shadows pretty much all night!) but unable to penetrate through a well-organized Red defence. Reds were sitting pretty at 7-3 at that time.
As the night went on and players starting to tire, White began their comeback into the game before a decision was made to call for the last goal. Whites were raiding and besieging the Reds' goal, outscoring the Reds in that period but no avail.
