Took a few minutes to set up the camera, hopefully catching the 1st 5 minutes of Rai dribbling with 2 left feet. Aside from this, it was really tight for the initial 20 minutes with both sides trading a goal each. Sufian was his marauding self torturing the whites with his speed, skills and blasting goals. On the other end, Jacko punished reds for some slack defending with a few but was unlucky not to get more. Goalies were on form tonight, stood their ground well and denied many clear cut goals. In the end, it was individual mistakes that made the difference and reds took it with the odd goal, final score i think was 7 - 5. Well done Irvine for lasting the game, it was a great workout. Jeff, when can we see the clips?

Ya lah Gilbert, I am naturally camera shy you see!! We all had a good laugh about it after the match!
Took awhile for both sides to actually settle down but its obvious that the scorching weather is having a effect on the pitch, it was very dry and bumpy (prob due to the little black bits not sticking into the pitch). We need Jeff's "Bangala" to start watering the pitch to make it sleek and "new" again!
I think Reds were initially too narrow trying to play everything down the extremely crowded middle channel (with Jeff and Gilbert standing BIG and strong in front of goal) and it was almost impossible for us to advance forward or slot to ball thro to Delon (who i thought put up a great shift playing with his back to goal most part of the game vs 2 of our best defenders but was extremely unlucky in front of goal). It took us awhile to finally make some progress down both flanks and extend the White defence to create space. Eventually Reds took control and took the game by a couple of goals. (7/8-5??)

I felt more tired that usual and I think the game wasn't that fast. It was generally a quiet game and whites were more quiet than the reds in terms of communication. Jamie put in a great shift for the whites together with Jacko. I felt that Reds had the advantage of familiarity among its players and Keith played well keeping the Reds at bay with timely challenges. A couple of good saves by Delon too when he was in goal.
I will check if the recording did some justice, else we will try again next week.
