With 4 withdrawals yesterday afternoon onwards, we were left with 12 players by last night. If we don't get at least 2 more, the options are (subject to availability) switching to Balestier Road (slightly smaller pitch but uncovered) or a small pitch at The Grandstand (half the size but covered). .... Nick C and Darren managed to pull in a friend each, to get us back to 14 by noon today, and that is how it stayed. The two players with 1 vote each (Jon and Raminder) can be captains. For line ups, I suggest: .... Colours confirmed by 4 pm. CH has requested white. No other comments, so line ups, captains and colours confirmed as follows: Reds: Damian, Jon Stratton (c), Simon Carter, Darren, Manish, Dev, Kah Wee Whites: CH Lim, Kah Boon, Bryan Marshall, Lee Powers, Raminder (c), Nick C, Arthur Everyone, please be early. Taxis can be hard to get on a Sunday afternoon, especially after it has been raining. Everyone, please be early. Several less regular players, so turn up early at least to meet your team mates! Add any comments about the game below.

Really fun game today and literally tale of 2 halves!! Thanks to Lynx and Brian who came in to play for us, the game started with 8-a-side. Reds were the faster to settle with Kah Wee threatening with some powerful shots. Reds then soared to a 3-0 lead with some good flowing attacking play between Darren, Kah Wee and Simon. However after Nick scored Whites first goal Reds capitulated with another 2 goals making it 5-1. White scored another goal and shortly after around the 40 min mark, Lynz and Brian had to go back to their game.
The sides rejigged themselves to 7 a side and then everything changed with Whites playing like a different team with Ram and Nick determined to level the deficit and Whites scored 3 goals in a row to level 5-5 game on. Reds looked like a spent team with the players all walking even though the weather was mercifully cool thanks to the well overdue rain.
The teams then decided on last ball and Whites threatened to end the game but just cld not convert despite many forays and corners when Reds broke on the counter.....game over 6-5. Quite a fun afternoon.
