Tactically both sides played 3-3-1. (What else could it be? Rainer's 3-4-0?)
Reds went 2 - 0 ahead before Whites equalised. Reds got a third goal and there was still plenty of time for Whites but that goal proved to be the last as Reds ran out winners by 3 - 2. I was half-heartedly hoping for a Whites equaliser and a penalty shoot-out.
There were no incidents of players accidentally falling and hitting their teeth against the opponents' shoulders.
Weather was hot. Not all the fans were working. As the temperature is above 32 degrees Celsius, I think it is mandatory to have a cooling break.

Heat illness occurs when your body produces more heat than it looses. Muscle work when playing football produces heat. The risk of heat illness does not only depend on the temperature, but also on the humidity of the air. With higher humidity, the cooling effect of sweating is reduced. Further, wind and sun radiation influence the effect of high temperatures on your body.
Therefore, to assess the risk of playing, FIFA measures not only the air temperature but what is called the “Wet Bulb Globe Temperature” (WBGT). At FIFA matches, additional cooling breaks are considered when WBGT is above 32°C.

$2 credit to Foo Cheong for a first report. $3 credit to each of Jon as team selector. As Jon did all the work, Manish suggested that Jon should get the second selectors credit too. I'll split it 3 ways between Jon, Simon and Manish, $1 each.
rajiv is it possible to agree before kick off whether we will have a 2 minute drink break after 40 minutes of the game? rule is that you can't leave the pitch so must bring your drink with you and strictly limited to 2 minutes or less (I think you would find it would be less than 2 in most cases) I think it would greatly improve the quality of the game in the last 20
Yeah it was just very hot at the weekend and everyone got extremely tired with 20 minutes to go. Our goal was directly in the sun as well so even when people went in goal there was no rest from the heat!
Good to know anyway about the drink rule..will keep it in mind from now on. As you said though, should be less of an issue now it is 5pm.
