Several new or less regular players, or players who haven't played together before much or at all, so I will suggest line ups after 11 am tomorrow. I've added a team captain poll. I've limited it to those who have been playing regularly on Sundays (at least 12 games over the current 6 month period or 25 games over the past 3 years, excluding those who have opted out or played less than 5 times over the current 6 month period).
I think the score was prolly 8-2 at 6.05pm. Whites were always in the lead from the start after racing to a 5-0 lead. While Reds did well to score their first to make 5-1 and then another at 6-2 (nice shot from Tim), Whites stifled any chance of a come-back with another 2 goals to seal it 8-2. The scoreline was rather weird to me as looking at the line-ups, Reds had a pretty solid team in all parts of the pitch!
However, Whites had an ace up their sleeve in the form of a hulking figure up front albeit jet-lagged after just landing from UK at 10am the same day, Gary scored a brace (3 goals i think?) on his own. Paul scored a screamer from the right wing, a kind of looping curling shot from outside the box that left the keeper no chance. He also caused all kinds of problems with those long legged runs down the flanks! Richard pretty much held the midfield all on his own while the defence marshaled by the amazing Kong held firm!
Both newcomers to the Sun game, Glenn and Leo played well grew in composure and time on the ball as the game wore on. On the Whites side Tim and CH were full of running while Kong had to keep a really watchful eye over Elvin lurking upfront and sometimes we had to double-team Elvin just to prevent him taking making those trademarked twist, turn and shoot moves
