Several newer or less regular players, including players who haven't played for a while, so I will suggest line ups after 4 pm today. I have added a team captain poll. I've included everyone who has been playing regularly (minimum 15 games over the current 6 month period).
Keith suggested line ups, so I left it to see if Marko could agree. As they couldn't agree, I'll suggest line ups as originally envisaged.
For Team 1, Keith and Marko have 4 votes each, but as Keith has played more games over the current 6 month period (57 to 19), Keith would be captain. No one on Team 2 has any votes, so I'll go with the player with the most number of games in the current 6 month period. That would be Sean, with 51 games.
Kelvin has informed me that Tan Wee sprained his ankle in the first half hour. Kelvin was there to pay for his own booking, so he came on for Tan Wee with gear borrowed from Sean. Kelvin offered to pay in full but I think it's fair enough if he and Tan Wee share and pay half the price each.
Whites: Marko, Shawn Low, Keith (c), Thommy, Niel L, Ray Yap, Dan W Reds: Gilbert L, Boon Yick, Sean Luo (c), Jacko, Ben Y, Tan Wee, Alex F
As mentioned in the above post, Tan Wee sprained his ankle in the first 20 mins, at that point of time, Whites were leading 2-0.
Thankfully, we had Kelvin Au as the replacement to keep the game balanced.
Whites continue with their momentum and build on the lead with goals coming from everywhere. Shawn scored 3, Marko (2) and Dan (2) as the Whites extended their lead to 7-1, with Alex scoring for the Reds.
Towards the end of the game, Kelvin started to click with some of the Reds players and that's when they started to mount a mini fightback.
Kelvin scored 1, Sean scored 2 more to end the game at 7-4 Whites.
Whites played with lots of fighting spirit, all the players were fighting hard for each other. Marko had one of the best games I've seen him play in, Thommy put in a good shift as centre-back, Shawn and Ray were running non-stop down the flanks.
