Rai with 3 votes is one team captain. Glenn and Boon Yick have 2 votes each, but Glenn has played more games in the current 6 month period (13 to Boon Yick's 9), so he can be captain. Team captains can agree on colours.
I can't remember at one point it was Reds 5 - 3 Whites, and then Whites started rallying. I believe we finally tied the game at 6-6, and we continued to trade punches in the last 10-15 mins till it was Red 8 - 7 Whites.
Kenny easily saved Reds on several occasions. It was not Boon Yick's night - he had at least 3 headers on target (credit to him for getting them on target!) and at least 2 or 3 shots at goal.
Jordi hussled and bustled upfront, and managed to nick a few himself.
Statement of the night from Alex: I think I am going to faint.
I don't think he was joking. He was literally crawling to his water bottle in the last 3 mins. Tip: if you're going to faint, keep your head up, not down
Truth be told, I was also knackered by the end.
I think we need to play smarter. Keep possession to get our breath back. Don't take unecessary risks which could put us on the backfoot when they turn over possession and counter us with the likes of speedy players like Mark and Shawn. It's ok to pass backwards or sideways. Keep possession. If they don't have the ball, they can't score.
Tough session as per Kelvin's post above! Just want to give due credit to Red's attacking trio of Alex, Marko and Shawn for making the extra effort to cover back. I know its tough running up and then down again X times. Alex's expression near the end tells it all - i am sure you lost a bit of "roundness" on your belly after last night!
Sorry again for sounding like a broken record to "remind" everyone of their defensive duties. Great game & workout!
