The player on each team with the most number of games in the current 6 month period can be captain. That would be Keith for Team 1 (48 games). Tie between Jeff and Derian for Team 2 (21 games) but Jeff gets in ahead having played more games over the past 3 years (152 to 120).

I got a message that I was a selector which I am not up for honestly for Wednesday games as I am very new to it but seems my 3 years statistics tilted it my way. The first take on the selection was that I felt my team was stronger on paper baring any surprises from our guest players. Keith said we should just have a go and so we did.
Game time - Reds setup with 2-3-1 and played the game. Quickly we realized that Reds had ball players in the midst and we played the ball and kept it on the grond - knocking it around very well. We were rewarded with the first goal. Whites huffed and puffed keeping themselves tight and try to hit on the counter. Against the run of play, Jacko using his speed and acceleration breached the Reds defense and scored the equalizer. Whites continued to play their game creating chances that were scuffed by the "never say die" attitude and misfiring forwards from the Reds. Individual mistakes was aplenty that night by the Reds and each time it was capitalized by Jacko. Forward counter-attacking moves involving rai, jacko, daoyang and zac were great and sharp short passing resulting in stretching Reds defense numerous time.
Whites pressured our ball-players forcing them to lose possession at dangerous parts of the pitch and quickly moved forward to exploit the 1-2 defenders left or the gaps that were opened up in the middle. Reds did hit back with I thought all 6 goals scored by Ismail (fantastic individual play). As much as Reds tried to push forward and created chances, Reds were constantly denied due to poor finishing or saves by "spiderman" paul. The Whites were picking up the lose balls/mistakes and made the Reds pay by putting them behind the net. Jacko seems to be spot on everytime whites (including myself) made a mistake and went on to score.
The game was tied at 6-6 at one point and that was the closes Reds came to make it a match but Whites continued with their superb team play, working hard for each other and listening to their team mates and scored the 2 more goals to finish the game at 9-7. This is a game won or lost on team play vs individual talent. Hats off to the many "captains" in the Reds rank that kept on talking and doing that extra bit. Jacko and/or Paul would be my MOM choices for their contribution to the game.
An absorbing game that I enjoyed despite at the losing end and now I know why keith was very eager with the team he had during the selection. Gd job Kaptain Keith !!!
It was Mirza who scored the 6 goals for the Reds. Ismail has been out of the game for a while hence why he was keeper most of the time. Hard luck for the Reds for failing to convert the chances created. Great workout.
