The player on each team with the most number of games over the past 3 years, and has not specifically opted out as team captain, can be captain. That would be Philip S for Team 1 with 110 games and Imran for Team 2 with 84 games.
The scores picked up after 15 mins with Reds scoring 2 back to back goals. Whites came back to make it 2-1 but that was about the closest the game got for the next 30 mins. Srini (fresh legs) managed to bag two for the Whites with Philip acting as a defensive powerhouse, taking on a number of tackles, going down. Sort of reminded me of this video (skip to 0.33 sec) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHVTYNGS-F4). He shrugged them off and played on being quite sporty about it. :-)
For the Reds, while a lot of new players who hadn't played together before, youth was on our side and while the Whites got really tired after 25 mins (yes, I AM referring to Ian) we managed a couple of lovely pass and go to bring the final score to 5-3. Win for the reds.
We had gone over time by 15 mins when we played 'last goal wins' and Whites got their second wind to score the (as Srini would put it).. the Winner. Haa. Good work out although a couple of players left the field (mostly Whites) grumbling about the length of the pitch and how the Cage is better ... lah-di-dah!
