Happy to play with the six I introduced along with Nick. The only player I am not familiar with is Marcus but I would say that objectively, my team is slightly weaker on paper. If it becomes too one sided, we can be sensible and swap players although that hardly ever happens!
Seeing as I was central to the game taking place, I think I should post the game report. Particularly as Rockstar is lurking to post another nonsense report.
First off, thanks to all who made the game possible. Given the haze situation, it was good to get out and have a runabout. Second, many thanks to the red team who made various concessions (lineups, boots, etc) and made the guest players feel welcome.
Once the game started though, it was long on goals but short on moments of real quality. Not a classic giffa Saturday game by any stretch. Probably expected when there were so many debutants. As has become the habit, the team taking the lead (reds) eventually lost. Almost feels like we should concede on purpose at the start nowadays in order to ensure victory. Can't speak for the rest but felt a bit breathless after about forty five minutes. Couldn't wait for the game to end.
Thanks again to all who made the game happen. Cheers.
