It must be all the resolutions to lose weight and get fit after all the indulgences over Christmas and the New Year.
As always, I don't know how long this surge in numbers will last.

Having up to 38 players on waitlist does not take into account other players who might have wanted to play but are don't put their names down as there are already so many on waitlist! The remaining recourse to create more places for those keen to play is to schedule an extra game this week, on Sunday, from 8 to 9 pm, at Khalsa, so I will do that.

| Adding names & withdrawals: | Add to the list below the names of players who are confirmed for the game. Only GIFFA Players are allowed to add names. Within the first 48 hours after the time of this post:
Additionally, after 48 hours, there is a maximum of 1 guest per player, until 6 hours before the game. Guests must be 21 or above in the current year. In the last 6 hours before the game, places are opened to any male aged 18 or above. In the last 3 hours, the age restriction is reduced to 16. All GIFFA Players are presumed to be sufficiently familiar with "The GIFFA System" and the "Playing Rules & Principles" threads. Any other guest should be provided with salient information contained in those threads by the GIFFA Player adding his name. Once the maximum number is reached, any other names are placed on waitlist. Withdrawals should be posted below as well, as soon as a player knows he will or may not be able to make the game. A player who withdraws need not pay for the game. However, there are fees and penalties for withdrawing 24 or less before the game. |
| Prompt payment: | When I provide the payment information for the game (30 hours or less before the game), if a player owes for more than one previous game, I will give the player a choice, pay an additional $1 admin fee or be moved down to the bottom of the list of players. If there are players on waitlist who do not owe for more than one previous game, then the player may be moved to waitlist. |
| Punctuality: | As set out above, the session is scheduled to start 10 minutes before the hour. The first 10 minutes are for team selectors to meet the players and consider any changes in line ups, as well as discuss formation, team organization and tactics. The game starts on the hour sharp. |
