In anticipation of the poll finishing in favour of an extra game at Khalsa, I've put up this thread. We have 2 names now. I should be able to get at least another 10 if necessary!
My aim is to give those who want to play an opportunity to play. There are players who play in other games, but just want additional games to play. They're welcome, but I'm not going to bend over backwards for them, especially if they are only interested in playing in the more popular games. I will try harder for those who need an opportunity to play, especially if, for whatever reason, they currently don't have any other games to play in.
For this Sunday, we now have 24 players. As a one-off, there are two options to increasing the number of places:
- We play with 3 teams over 2 hours (5 to 7 pm) on a big pitch at The Grandstand, thus allowing 24 players to get a game.
- We have an extra 7-a-side game from 6 to 7 pm at Khalsa. However, we would need at least 26 players in total, and at least 12 players willing to switch to the extra game at Khalsa.
I've put up a poll. The poll is scheduled to close at 4 pm on Saturday.
A bit of a Hobson's choice I know, but, hey, life isn't always perfect.

| Adding names & withdrawals: | Add to the list below the names of players who are confirmed for the game. Only GIFFA Players are allowed to add names. Within the first 48 hours after the time of this post:
Additionally, after 48 hours, there is a maximum of 1 guest per player, until 6 hours before the game. Guests must be 21 or above in the current year. In the last 6 hours before the game, places are opened to any male aged 18 or above. In the last 3 hours, the age restriction is reduced to 16. All GIFFA Players are presumed to be sufficiently familiar with "The GIFFA System" and the "Playing Rules & Principles" threads. Any other guest should be provided with salient information contained in those threads by the GIFFA Player adding his name. Once the maximum number is reached, any other names are placed on waitlist. Withdrawals should be posted below as well, as soon as a player knows he will or may not be able to make the game. A player who withdraws need not pay for the game. However, there are fees and penalties for withdrawing 24 or less before the game. |
| Prompt payment: | When I provide the payment information for the game (30 hours or less before the game), if a player owes for more than one previous game, I will give the player a choice, pay an additional $1 admin fee or be moved down to the bottom of the list of players. If there are players on waitlist who do not owe for more than one previous game, then the player may be moved to waitlist. |
| Punctuality: | As set out above, the session is scheduled to start 10 minutes before the hour. The first 10 minutes are for team selectors to meet the players and consider any changes in line ups, as well as discuss formation, team organization and tactics. The game starts on the hour sharp. |
