Sunday Evening At Turf City - 12 September 2010

Only one game survived the long weekend - lots of players away, injured or with other plans, and we only got to 8-a-side just before the game was due to start.

The Sat, 4 to 5 pm, Sun, 5 to 6 pm, and Sun 6 to 7 pm games all merged into one.

I have kept those who play exclusively or primarily the Sun 5 to 6 pm game in one team (Reds) and those who have played the other games (or weeknight games) are in the other team (Whites).

Everyone, please bring both a white top and a red top in any event.

but they can swap round if it works better.

In response to my SMS asking how the game went, he replied: "We won by 5 goals. Vincent for reds and Fred for whites.

If the teams swap players at the game itself, it should be to make the line ups more even, not less even.

Anyone can add their comments below.

Game kicked off with whites scoring a flurry of goals but the reds steadied the ship after that and started to assert themselves on the game. Reds had a good forward line and attacked with good positional play and composure which led them to getting back a few goals.

There were a few star players such as Fred for the whites (good link up play up front), Rajseran for whites (dude - your killer passes / crosses were amazing) and Vincent (v good distribution).

Good team effort all round and look forward to the next one.
