Intense game under the boiling sun of Singapore. Whites were clearly dominant, with Rainer running like a Duracell rabbit and distributing the ball nicely in the center which lead to fast attacks into open spaces that confused reds' defense. Reds overall passing accuracy wasn't that good, some bad passes in the defense resulted in horrible goals and also in the offense it did not always click even though the white defense had some weak spots. Only Honda showed some great scenes and shots, the rest of the team didn't have such a good day. Final result probably 11:6 for whites. A few disputed scenes, but overall fair play and no injuries.
Thanks for the kind words, Moritz. Final score was 9:4, I believe. Whites actually had a very similar team as last week but it turned out better this time. For one, as you mentioned, reds did not fully click and were less of a threat. But I also felt whites played much better: the plan was for Elvin and Josh to score – think they scored 3 each - while I try to neutralize Honda, and Kien/Danny command the defense. Isaac made some crucial saves. My man of the match was Josh with some excellent runs on the right side, assists, and even great defensive work in the midfield when I was out of position
