Several newer or less regular players, so I will suggest line ups after 4 pm tomorrow. I've added the team captain poll. I've included everyone who has played at least 15 games in the current 6 month period or 50 games over the past 3 years.
The game started quite evenly and it remains goalless for the first 10-15mins before whites scored the first goal.
But reds soon got their act together and scored 4 successive goals to take a 4-1 lead. Whites re-organized the defence and mixed the play slightly with short n long passing. This seemed to work well as whites managed to pull level to 4-4.
White started to lose concentration in defence again go 4-5 down as Reds kept up their attacking intent. White began to capitalise on the spaces in Reds defence to score 3 consecutive goals before the 'final whistle' was blown by the Khalsa pitch coordinator.
Reds lukd strong on paper with the likes of Moritz, TanWee, Naithan n Imran all known for their long range shots.
So the game begins juz on time with Whites taking the lead after a lengthy scoreless start. Whites scored first but their defence was put to test immediately n Reds succeeded once with 2 more to add later.
Reds leading 3-1 now, Whites wer now forced to play attacking footbal with 2-2-2 from original 3-2-1 and it worked with score maintained at 3-1 but Reds made a good use of a defensive error by Whites. Score 4-1.
But Whites had other plans which was put to use with random n constant tactical change mostly attacking with 2-2-2 n 2-1-3. Whites started scoring at one end n solid defensive showcase from Sushil, Kong Fei n at times Stuart at the other. Whites netting thrice with score now reading 4-4.
Though Nipun's injury, supposedly hamstring proved fruitful to Whites. But Reds scored again to lead 5-4. Stuarts long range shots drew the score to 5-5. Sushil joining him for a long-range later. 6-5 to whites. Whites went on to score 2 more with score 8-5 to whites.
Highlights of the game as follows:
Imran's long range screamer Stuart netting twice from half-way line Sushil accompanying the league Moritz for most number of lobs in a game
Well played whites ! Was a solid comeback and you guys had great teamwork and cohesion. Unlucky reds we pushed hard but just lacked cutting edge today. Sadly halfway through I pulled my calf which perhaps caused a bit of confusion in our team shape momentarily and whites took full advantage. Thank you guys was fun.
