From the "Weekly schedule & number of games" thread:
....
From the "Filling places & choices" thread:
....
Apart from the Sunday night game at Grandstand not filling up, the Saturday game at Grandstand has been relatively slow to fill up for a few weeks now.
Further, for several weeks now, the weeknight games have been filling up better than the weekend games. The Sunday night game at Khalsa is intended to provide more places for those who play the weeknight games. I will continue to schedule the Sunday night game at Khalsa until the end of November 2016.
....
The Sunday evening game at Grandstand will resume from 13 November 2016 onward, at the usual time slot, 5 to 6 pm.
....
Even though the Sunday game at Khalsa has not taken off, I'll continue to schedule it as an extra game until the end of the year. However, to make it more akin to a weekend game, I will schedule it from 9 to 10 pm, and see if that works better.
1) Reserved for 24 hours morning for team selector/captain from last game
2) Reserved for 24 hours morning for team selector/captain from last game
3) Reserved for 24 hours morning for GIFFA Player who makes himself available for slow filling games.
4) Reserved for 24 hours morning for GIFFA Player who makes himself available for slow filling games.
From the "Filling places & choices" thread:
....
..., the management at HYFA @ Macpherson, and the new management at The Grandstand, repeatedly warn me that I will still have to pay for the pitch if the game is cancelled less than 48 hours before the game. So far, I have had to argue/plead with them to waive payment for the games that have been cancelled. Going forward, for games on those pitches, if we do not reach the minimum number at least 48 hours before the game, it will be cancelled. For all games, if we have enough 24 hours before the game, I will create the WhatsApp group chat as usual. However, if there are withdrawals after the group chat is created, which cause the game being cancelled:

System & Rules: | Please read "The GIFFA System" and "Playing Rules & Principles" for more information by following the links. Being familiar with the contents of both pages is a pre-condition to playing in our games. |
Adding names & withdrawals: | Add to the list below the names of players who are confirmed for the game. Only GIFFA Players are allowed to add names. In the first 24 hours after this post, each GIFFA Player is limited to putting the name down for one other GIFFA Player (apart from himself). In the first 48 hours after this post, each GIFFA Player is limited to putting names down for two other GIFFA Players (apart from himself). The restrictions of one or two others (as the case may be) applies even if the player does not put his own name down. No guests are allowed in the first 48 hours. After 48 hours, there is a maximum of 1 guest per player, until 24 hours before the game. Guests must be 21 or above in the current year. In the last 6 hours before the game, places are opened to any male aged 18 or above. In the last 3 hours, the age restriction is reduced to 16. All GIFFA Players are presumed to be sufficiently familiar with "The GIFFA System" and the "Playing Rules & Principles" threads. Guests should be provided with salient information contained in those threads by the GIFFA Player adding his name. Once the maximum number is reached, any other names are placed on waitlist. Withdrawals should be posted below as well, as soon as a player knows he will or may not be able to make the game. A player who withdraws need not pay for the game. However, there are fees and penalties for withdrawing 24 or less before the game. |
Prompt payment: | When I provide the payment information for the game (30 hours or less before the game), if a player owes for more than one previous game, I will give the player a choice, pay an additional $1 admin fee or be moved down to the bottom of the list of players. If there are players on waitlist who do not owe for more than one previous game, then the player may be moved to waitlist. |
Punctuality: | As set out above, the session is scheduled to start 10 minutes before the hour. The first 10 minutes are for team selectors to meet the players and consider any changes in line ups, as well as discuss formation, team organization and tactics. The game starts on the hour sharp. |

However, if there are withdrawals after the group chat is created, which cause the game being cancelled:
- Any payment for the unused pitch will have to be shared equally between those who withdrew after the group chat was created. I will first try to have the payment waived or reduced.
- If no payment is required for the unused pitch, those who withdrew after the group chat was created must still pay a $1 admin fee.
The above will take effect from the game scheduled tomorrow (2 November 2016, for Monday, 7 November 2016).
