Ivo and Alex have 1 vote each, less than the minimum required. The default selectors are either the two players with the most number of games in the current 6 month period, that is, Nazriee (47 games) ans Sean (46 games), or the selectors from last week, who were also Nazriee and Sean. Selectors are Nazriee and Sean. Line ups to follow.
Line ups as posted by Sean on the WhatsApp group chat at 5.44 pm:
Reds: Sean Anthony Khai Lester Alex George Calvin
Whites: Naz Ben Jeff Keith Kong Fei Ivo Kenny
$1 credit to each of Naz and Sean as selectors.
After the game, please post reports and comments on the game below.
From the "Keeping score & the competitive edge" thread:
.... To spread the benefit around more, with effect from the game tomorrow (31 Aug 2019), I will split the $2 credit into $1 credits for the first two from each team to do a report. Priority for the following week's game will only be for the first from each team to provide a report, but I will consider extending it in the future to the second player from each team to do so. I would rather the rush be to provide reports for games (which benefits everyone, and the system) rather than to be the first to put one's name down for the following week's game (which only benefits the player concerned, at the expense of the system).
Game started with 6 a side and when it became 7 . Reds race to a 4-0 lead with some good football with the whites in disarray. After some reorganisation, whites clawed back to 4-4, then taking the lead at 6-4 with simple passing and movement. Ben was the MoM with his closing down of the reds defence and chipped in with some goals.
Whites gave up a goal from long kick in. But with the reds tiring , whites were closing down and holding the reds at the back and scored 3 more goals to make final score 8-5.
Red started out the better side, taking a 4-goal lead within a short span of time. Red was not tight with their marking and White managed to get back into the game, scoring 6 goals consecutively. Trailing by 2 goals, Red pushed more players forward but it was not enough. Final score was 8-5 to White.
